Trip to Portland

For General Conference weekend, Adam and I took a trip to Portland to see some friends. It was nice to get away for a weekend! Life can get so busy and so monotonous sometimes - it was nice to mix it up a little.

We were able to go on a short hike to see "Bridal Veil Falls", and we also went to see a gorgeous lookout point of the Columbia River Gorge. As usual, we ate dinner at the fabulous Round Table Pizza, then stayed up far too late...

On Sunday Travis served us a delicious breakfast of bacon and orange rolls, then I worked on my cross-stitch project while Adam drooled over football on Travis' new HD TV. Honestly...what is it about guys and televisions? It was really cute though to see how in awe Adam was of that piece of equipment (sigh). We were at least somewhat good and caught the last session of conference - it was very enjoyable. Alas, the weekend had to come to a close, but we had a wonderful time...thanks Travie & Kaydee!

Looking out at the Columbia River Gorge
This awesome building was where the tourist shop, bathrooms, etc. were at. Very cool! There was a place upstairs to get a good view of the gorge, but it was closed due to weather. Please! This is the Northwest!
Bridal Veil Falls
So pretty!
